I bought a pair of these years ago when they first came out. Or rather, because I have really wide feet I ordered a pair semi-custom sized (measurements and foot tracing) at the Kansas City Renaissance Festival. I can’t remember the year, but my kids were small then, and one of them is graduating this year. Basically these boots have held together really well over the years taking whatever abuse I’ve been dishing out walking the slopes of the festival. Rain, mud, and shine. I’ve applied a boot wax over the stitching around the sole over the years to help deal with water, but nothing’s getting through the leather itself. The leather was tight at first, but stretched when worn and they are pretty comfy. Over the years the leather around and above the ankles has almost taken on a slouch boot type appearance because of all the bending, (they definitely don’t stand up straight anymore) but there’s never been any stiffening or cracking. They’re still supple and still going strong 🙂
